Corner House

An imaginative siting solution allows this larger new house
to embrace quality private outdoor space on a challenging corner site.

The form of the building is separated between ground floor living volumes intersecting with bedrooms at the first floor. The gentle curves and play of materials at the first floor create an elegant sculptural expression to the street and interiors are abundant in natural light and and cross ventilation.

Through careful planning and shaping of the building form a rear garden has been sacrificed for a high amenity north facing private font garden surrounded by living areas, landscaping and a perimeter fence to the street.

The Bower Architecture team gave us their collective creative
input to our design brief and that team stimulus tossed up many great
ideas that we could digest and blend into our own ideas.

Most important was the balance we achieved in Bower delivering
a great design outcome which was continually mindful of the reality
of controlling the almighty $.
