A holiday house, designed to maximise the stunning ocean and valley views on a 100 acre rural site.   The brief was for a simple but bold solution that could be economically constructed.  The resulting form consists of two juxtaposed extrusions, clad in colourbond. The lower extrusion houses the bedroom and bathroom facilities, the higher housing the entertainment areas.  This arrangement enables both northern light and southern ocean views to be enjoyed with the provision of two generous decks.  The inherent potential of the site is reached with a striking object inserted within the landscape whilst keeping the house uncomplicated and economical.
