Coastal Architecture & Interior Design

There is no doubt that the coastal areas and villages of Australia are special places. After our shared experience of Covid and years of being apart and at home, the quality of the spaces we inhabit has been brought into focus and we feel the joy of a coastal escape more than ever.

A coastal retreat is a place for connecting with the sea, the beach, the salty fresh breeze and the wild grasses, Moonah and Tea-tree in Victoria or Paperbarks and Pandanus further north. Best of all its a place for bare feet, a super chilled vibe, relaxed easy living and gathering with our loved ones.

Bower Architecture has become renown for its coastal architecture and interior design that feels of its place, as permanent residences or holiday homes. We are experienced with the intricacies of designing for bushfire, erosion and vegetation protection areas.

Built as an ode to its seaside location, this home is as robust as it is tranquil and timeless.

It wasn’t until this house was built (by Bower) that I realised how important good design is to your sense of wellbeing… Sometimes I nearly burst into tears with the sense of happiness and peace as we arrive.

The Bower team created a haven of light and calm for the two of us to both retreat from the world and celebrate life events with family and friends.
