Cheshunt Beach House

Our clients, Jill and Peter, have loved holidaying with their children in Point Lonsdale over many years. They came to Bower to design a home for themselves to reside full time once they retire, and for their kids, their partners, the grandkids, grand-dogs and friends to come together for family holidays. They loved Bower’s use of timber in beach houses and the restrained, elegant and contemporary style that Bower archives, that avoids feeling excessive or indulgent. They were also attracted to our Point Lonsdale projects which are respectful of and inspired by the Point Lonsdale village.
Jill and Peter are active members of the Point Lonsdale community, members of the Point Lonsdale Golf Club and they love to entertain. They were after a house that made entertaining easy and that felt generous but still warm and welcoming. When it is just them at home or with close family, they want the house to allow them to be quiet and relaxed.
Their house is thus designed for special zoning and adaptability. The site has some good views and some close neighbours so framing views and outlook to the best elements of the site are important in the design. As an active family of keen surfers, bike riders and golfers lots of storage and an outdoor shower were must haves!
